Unikirns

Unikirns are draconic, horse-like creatures found all over Cosmotalia. They are characterized by their scaled snout and belly, whiskers, beard, short mane, long fur-tipped tail, single (but rarely double) horn and colorful fur. They are often bred and kept for transportation and labor with many breeds specialized for their role.

Curiously, their eyes are closed most of the time and its been deduced they navigate the world by “seeing” the magical currents. Rarely, they may open their eyes but this is followed by uncontrollable use of magic. Since being frightened or feeling threatened can trigger this, many breeds are bred to be sturdy, docile or otherwise hardy. Further training is needed by their riders so they may trust them.
